Our Mission Statement
We are Disciples Making Disciples in Zanesville, in Muskingum County, and to the Ends of the World
Our Core Values
Missional Living, Authentical Relationships, Family Championing, Serving Community, Holisitic Transformation, Heartfelt Worship
1. Missional Living
Statement: We are disciples who make disciples — wherever God places us. From Zanesville to the ends of the earth, we live sent lives that bring Christ’s love into every space.
Scriptural Anchor: “Go and make disciples of all nations…” — Matthew 28:19
Why it matters:
Jesus’ call to go isn’t limited to a select few — it’s for every follower. At Northside Naz, we see our workplaces, schools, and neighborhoods as mission fields. Every act of kindness, every conversation, every invitation is a chance to share the hope of Jesus.
How we live it out:
Equipping believers to share their faith confidently and naturally.
Supporting local and global mission partners.
Encouraging each person to identify their personal mission field.
2. Authentic Relationships
Statement: We engage our neighbors authentically through — listening, serving, sharing meals, and sharing faith from spontaneous chats at a cafe to scheduled small groups. Our relationships are our greatest ministry.
Scriptural Anchor: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” — Mark 12:31
Why it matters:
Transformation begins with connection. Jesus met people where they were — at the table, in the street, in their stories. We want to be known not just for what we believe, but for how well we love.
How we live it out:
Practicing the B.L.E.S.S. rhythm — Begin with prayer, Listen, Eat together, Serve, and Share your story.
Hosting neighborhood and community events that create belonging.
Building authentic friendships that open doors to faith.
3. Family Championing
Statement: We invest in homes, whether of 1 or more, for faith to be lived out daily. From kids to grandparents, we equip families to follow Jesus together and impact the next generation.
Scriptural Anchor: “These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children…” — Deuteronomy 6:6–7
Why it matters:
Faith begins at home. Strong families are the foundation of a healthy church and community. We believe every home can be a place where disciples are made and lives are shaped by grace.
How we live it out:
Investing in single person households to align hearts and actions.
Supporting parents as the primary spiritual leaders in their homes.
Offering ministries that strengthen marriages, kids, teens, and caregivers.
Creating intergenerational connections where wisdom and energy unite.
4. Serving Community
Statement: We love Zanesville and Muskingum County in tangible ways — meeting needs, partnering with others, growing together, and pursuing the flourishing of our city.
Scriptural Anchor: “Seek the peace and prosperity of the city… Pray to the Lord for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper.” — Jeremiah 29:7
Why it matters:
The Gospel isn’t just good news for heaven — it’s good news for here and now. We believe God has placed Northside Naz in Zanesville for a reason: to be a light, to bring hope, and to make a difference.
How we live it out:
Engaging in consistent community service and outreach.
Partnering with local organizations and schools to meet real needs.
Being present in the moments that matter — from celebration to crisis.
5. Holistic Transformation
Statement: We believe the Gospel changes everything — hearts, homes, and neighborhoods. We seek renewal through prayer, compassion, and Spirit-led action.
Scriptural Anchor: “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” — Romans 12:2
Why it matters:
True change begins when God’s Spirit moves. We long to see revival — not just within our walls, but throughout our community. Our goal isn’t maintenance; it’s movement.
How we live it out:
Prioritizing prayer and dependence on the Holy Spirit.
Calling people to deep repentance and bold faith.
Celebrating stories of change as signs of God’s kingdom breaking in.
6. Heartfelt Worship
Statement: Our gatherings are marked by joy, honesty, and the presence of God. We bring our real selves before Him and respond with wholehearted praise. Our worship is corporate and individual.
Scriptural Anchor: “God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.” — John 4:24
Why it matters:
Worship isn’t a performance — it’s our response to who God is. We come as we are, bringing both our gratitude and our struggles, trusting that God meets us with grace.
How we live it out:
Creating worship environments that are welcoming and Spirit-led.
Encouraging full participation — body, heart, and mind.
Letting worship overflow beyond Sunday into our everyday lives.
